Clinical Psychologist
I am Dr. Justin Dainer-Best, an associate professor of psychology at Bard College and a clinical psychologist in New York’s Hudson Valley. (More about me.) I specialize in work with anxiety, depression, and trauma, as well as gender identity and sexuality. I work with adults and adolescents. (See more about my services or specializations.)
My goal in any treatment is to help you to feel less suffering and to experience a more fulfilling life.
A good experience in therapy involves both the patient and the psychologist to work along side one another. Together, we’ll focus on how you can overcome whatever obstacles are getting in the way of your life. In this clinical work, I will help employ evidence-based practices for improving your mental health, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
